I mean, does it have all the features that make Vista worth getting, making it pointles even buying Vista or are the some features only Vista will have?

I saw that my mom had a desktop calendar that showed her the appointments for the day and it stayed open on her desktop. I can’t find anything similar for Windows 7, anyone know where I can find it. I looked through the Gadgets but nothing jumped out as the same calendar.

I just bought a Sony Vaio P Series laptop with 128gb SSD (Model 3: VGN-P598E/Q). It cost me $1499.99 and comes with Vista. Should I upgrade to Windows 7 when it comes out? Is it worth the money? And does anybody know where I can dowload the Windows 7 Beta for free? Without bugs or anything? Because Microsoft won’t give out Betas anymore.

I can get the $30 copy because I’m in college, but I don’t know if it’s really a good idea to upgrade my netbook designed for Windows XP. I already made an ISO image file of Windows 7 from MagicISO but when I try to burn the file to a DVD, it says there’s no disc in. When I put the disc into my computer, vista says the DVD is write protected. Is this the reason I can’t burn Windows 7 to it? And if so which brand of DVDs should I buy? Right now I have Fujifilm DVD+R disc.
