One sweet dude says:
I was told recently that new computers will be coming out around the time of windows 7 release later this month. Also that some computers will become cheaper. Is this true? If it is, how much better will they be?

All computers sold after the Windows 7 release date (which is October 22nd, about 2 weeks time) will have Windows 7 preloaded.
If they do not, they will at least have a Windows 7 upgrade coupon, which you can use to redeem Windows 7 from Microsoft. The downside to this is that you have to pay for the shipping costs and have to wait for it in your mailbox.

This happens all the time. Computers get cheaper everytime a new hardware platform is released…you can expect price drops on LGA775 (Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad series) platforms when the Core i5 becomes more mainstream next year.
It may be worth waiting for at least another month or so, or even after christmas, for some good deals.

I heard that computers that still have vista on them will be a lot cheaper than windows 7 computers because stores are trying to get rid of their vista computers to make way for windows 7.

I don’t know that there are expected to be any significant hardware changes simultaneous with Windows 7. There are things like SSD drives likely to become more prevalent over time, and the new Intel i5 chips will likely impact some things (like push the i7 to be more expensive), but those are separate from the OS.
The main change might be computers pre-loaded with Vista will become less expensive as Windows 7 starts arriving pre-installed on things. Even then they’ll get free Windows 7 upgrades so they shouldn’t drop *that* much.
If some popular models start being in high demand, they may even go up in price.
Anyway, there aren’t any definite or predictable pricing changes for computer systems. The main ones that might drop would potentially be things pre-installed with Vista that *aren’t* eligible for Windows 7 upgrades because they come with Home Basic or Starter installed. Those would tend to be lower end laptops, which are also getting competition these days from low expense netbooks.
